UPDATE 5/23/11:  Guess what?  I completed my heartworm treatment and am doing really well!  I do have to be on a restricted level of activity for the next 6 weeks and will need to see a cardiologist about possibly needing heart medication.  That sort of stinks but the real good news is that I am doing great!  So much so, that I started giving my foster Mom "kisses", play bowing and letting her brush my hair.  I also eat out of her hands and let her give me daily belly rubs because hey, they feel great!  Yorkie911 thinks I am a very special girl and that I deserve a wonderful home.  Since I am a puppymill survivor, the only thing I know about being in a home is this great foster home that I have.  If a real home means having a family to call my own- then that is what I want!  Please consider adopting me and making my wish come true!  Please visit www.yorkie911rescue.com and fill out an adoption application.

Hi!  My name is Gigi and I am from a puppymill survivor.  I am a little bit skiddish but that is only because I came from a puppymill.  On the other hand, I am a great eater!   I was a little bit nervous when my Foster Mommy & family would kiss my head because I didn't know what a kiss was but now I love to get kisses and sit on everyone's lap.  I have an affinity for men.  My foster Mommy put a leash on me today for the first and she kept telling me, "Lets Go" but I had no idea what she meant so I just laid there.  I really didn't know what to do but maybe she will keep working with me and teach me.  I am great with other dogs and very maternal.  I was tested for heartworm and am positive.  I am starting treatment but will not be available for adoption until I am completely cleared and deemed heartworm negative.  If you're interested in adopting me, please put your application in at www.yorkie911rescue.com or you can send donations for my treatment via the PayPal button on our homepage.  When I am ready for adoption, my fee will be $350 and it includes my spay & vaccinations.
