Update 9/9/11: My foster Mommy has been taking me on long walks in the park and guess what?  I am soooo friendly with all of the other dogs.  The Rescue Squad feel I was well taken care of before I was on the streets because I am very used to going to the bathroom outside only.  I am also good with my foster family, children and cats!  I would prefer a home with a yard.  My foster Mommy thinks I am so cute and so sweet.  I even get along extremely well with my foster brother who sometimes doesn't get along with fur friends or the cat when it comes to food.  He lets me eat and doesn't try to eat it.  I guess that is because I am just a really amazing girl!  What are you waiting for?  Put an application in already.  Woof Woof!

My name is Penelope and I am pretty Terrier mix. I was found roaming the streets so the shelter picked me up and their dogter took a look at me.  They found a Calcium Oxalate stone which was removed and I will need to stay on RX food, have accecss to fresh clean water at all times and given regular potty breaks.  I will also need to have my urine monitored by a Vet until the Vet says I am in the clear.  While I may not be a "special needs dog" forever, right now I do fall into that category because of my stone being removed.  While I was in the shelter, I thought my family would come looking for me but sadly, they never did.  Thankfully the shelter called Yorkie911 and the Rescue Squad came to my aid. Now I am in foster care and I have shown my foster family that I love cats, kids and other dogs.  I like to go into my crate to sleep at night and I always know when it is my 9p bedtime.  I often wait to be invited up onto the couch and I will jump up, lay down next to my foster Mom & snooze for hours.  I am no trouble really- just ask my foster Mom!   I even know a few basic commands - sit, stay...  If you adopt me and give me an amazing home, you will see that I am just an appreciative snugglebug!  My adoption fee is $300 and you can fill out an adoption application at www.yorkie911rescue.com.
