Update 4/27/12: First off, I'd like to let everyone know that I am doing REALLY WELL with housebreaking! I only have a couple of accidents. I follow my foster Mom around the house and outside to the backyard too! I love my evening walks and am starting to learn to trust my Foster Mom because I will eat out of her hand now. I live with cats and they do not bother me at all. Guess what? I discovered a new thing called a bone. I have to show everyone so I run through the house with it in my mouth! I am starting to feel more confident in myself and with people who are not out to hurt me. I am still a little shy sometimes but my foster family is working with me to keep building up my trust.... it's only been a few weeks and look where I am at already! Despite my foster family working on the physical contact part of trust building, I still do not like to sit on laps. With some patience and consistency, I'm sure that will change... time is on my side now! Woof! Put in your application for me if you want to help me shine like the star I already am... oh yes that is correct, I was on the CBS Morning Show a few weeks ago and did a fabulous job! Woof! Update 4/3/12: I had my appointment at the Vet yesterday and guess what? I am NOT pregnant! Yipee! I am super happy to be retired from puppy making. Being a puppy-making factory is super hard work and it was really stressful on my body. Glad it will be something of my past! I was spayed and had a dental and am all ready for adoption. Woof Woof!
Woof Woof! My name is Ariel... I was told that I have been named after Ariel the Little Mermaid because she has red hair, similar to mine. I came from the Midwest on a transport called, "Pup My Ride". My first night in rescue was a restless one but what do you expect? I was in a deplorable puppy mill with terrible people who treated me horribly. I hardly got any socialization and I got used to pacing and barking a lot out of anxiety. I am used to relying on people for survival but I have very little trust because of my past. Thankfully the Rescue Squad is patient and loving because they are working with me to be a balanced, happy dog. It will take time and my furever family will need to be on board in helping to rehabilitate me as well. At this time, I am a bit plump so I am going to the dogter for a checkup. There is a slight chance I could be pregnant, so if I am, the Rescue Squad will let me run my course but if I am not, then I will be spayed, get a dental and be ready for adoption. My adoption fee is $350 and you may fill out an adoption application at: www.yorkie911rescue.com. More about ArielGood with Dogs, Good with Cats
