Update 2/2/13: In less than 2 weeks I will be going in for surgery on my back leg. I currently have a luxtating patella that the dogter promises to fix so I will need to be on strict crate rest for 8 weeks in order to heal. The good news is that I met a wonderful family who has since been through the application process and has been approved! Now I have a pending adoption. Woof! Wish me luck during my surgery and recovery period! I can't wait to spend the rest of my days loving my furever family! "Look who is cuddling! In the morning, in the evening and even during the day after playtime is over, Lulu has learned how great it is to cuddle! Lulu joins either her Foster Mom or Dad or even both on the couch.... or better yet, a lap, and LOVES to lay. In the evening if there is a blanket or a pillow next to her foster family, she has taken to using them to cover herself and make herself even more content and happy to be by their side!" So see, while I am a playful puppy by day, I can also be a calm, relaxed puppy at night... and you know what they say, "A tired pup, is a happy pup"! Woof!
Update 6/19/12: I continue to be a happy and devoted pet. My foster family says I always seem to be happy! I greet with excitement in the morning and whenever my foster family returns home after an outing. If you are looking for a pet that will up your spirits anytime- then I am the girl you are looking for! I am doing great with house-breaking. I understand that outside is where I need to go and I know how to get my foster family's attention to let them know what I need. Accidents are few and far between. I have taken to my crate; laying down whenever I need to rest and I sleep in there at night without a peep. When my foster pawrents say "night night", I make myself comfortable and settle in for the entire night. I am very open and accepting of new people and company inside of my foster home. I warm up quickly, especially when the visitor goes outside and plays fetch with me! Woof! I have made a true brother of my foster fursibling and in fact, my foster pawrents say the playfulness is infectious! I am excelling in playing well with others and am ready to share it with the world! Put your application at www.yorkie911rescue.com.
Update 5/21/12: Woof Woof! I am making great strides in rescue! I spend the night without a peep and am well-trained as well as almost 100% housebroken! I go right to the door in the morning and I take care of business. When my foster family has to leave the house and I need to be alone, I seem to do fine. I am quiet and I wait for them to return and they let me go outside as soon as they get back to avoid me having any accidents. I am doing great with "on leash" training. My foster family takes me for walks and I am learning to heal and not pull the leash on walks. I am also learning that when my foster family stops during our walks that I must sit by their side and wait until they give me the command to move again. I am very smart and obedient... which is reflective of an alpha foster family! I would do best with an Alpha furever home that will continue my training! I am learning how to respect living with dogs and cats alike. I am learning that other pets have personal space too and that we all have a right to live in the same house together... I am learning that we can ALL get along! I also live for F-U-N, fun, fun, fun! My foster family has neighbors with 2 young kids that come over to play with me and I have so much fun with them! I will fetch a tennis ball all day long and bring it right back to their feet.... Everytime! I am very loving and make friends very quickly. I am a devoted pet who is smart as a whip and all I want to do it please. Therefore I am easy to train and fun-loving! With continued training and guidance, I know I will continue to learn my manners and make a great pet for any kind of family! Put in an adoption application if you think a young, active pup will be a great match for your active family! Update 4/22/12: Boy oh boy did I have an amazing weekend! The Rescue Squad took me to this place called Old Westbury Gardens and I got to walk around a pond full of turtles, the pretty gardens with lots of flowers, a mansion with a pool and best of all, I got to meet a lot of new doggie friends! I kept making the Rescue Squad laugh because they said I was a very talented pup full of energy! I was so excited to sniff all of the new smells and be out with the Rescue Squad that I started to walk on my hind legs... yes you read that correctly! I can walk on my back legs! Woof Woof! I get along with kids and most dogs so I am looking for a furever home that can keep up with me and will play with me everyday! Put in your application if you think we are a match at www.yorkie911rescue.com. Ping Ping Ping - that's the sound I make as I race around the yard! I have lots and lots of energy - can you keep up with me? The rescue squad think there may be some Jack Russell in me - wait til you see me jump! Going to see the Dogtor next week - then will be ready for adoption. My adoption fee is $375.00 More about LuLuGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
