Update 1/18/13: I continue to surprise my foster family with my love and affection.  I like to often roll over on my back for a belly run!  I will do this to get my foster family's attention.  I also LOVE my walks!  Whenever I see my foster Mom or Dad put on their shoes & coats... I am totally aware that this means I am going for a WALK!!!  Woof Woof!  It's funny because when we are out & about, people that meet me are so surprised that I am 7 years old because of my fun personality!  I am doing well with other dogs and only get nervous when they begin to bark at me.  I also prefer big dogs over small dogs.  Whenever we come home from our walk, I am a good girl and patiently wait to have my feet wiped off then my harness and leash can be taken off.  I also do not mind getting a bath and am very happy to sit bundled in a towel when being dried off.  I rarely bark so I would do well in an apartment setting.  I currently live with a foster family in an apartment on the first floor so I constantly hear the door opening and people talking in the lobby. Oh and remember how I told you that I had razor burn?!  Well, it's all long gone and my hair is growing in pretty quickly!  I enjoy having hair again and being brushed!  Won't you consider adopting a sweet Yorkie girl like me?

Woof Woof!  My name is Lissie and my foster Mummy says that I am quite a joy to have around!  I am a very happy Yorkie girl that loves to be loved!  I received a Spa Day when I arrived in rescue and the employees at the Spa told my foster family just how thrilled they were at how great I was to be bathed, have my ears cleaned and teeth brush.  They said I was such a good girl!  When my foster Mummy was at the register checking out, one of the two girls who helped to clean me up came over again to say how wonderful (and cute!) I am!  I also got a few extra pets from her before we left.  On our way home I got to ride on a subway and I was a little bit scared but I was in a carrying case that made me feel some security.  I sleep well through the night on my bed that is located in the living room.  I don't mind if the lights are all off.  I should warn you though- I just LOVE my bed!  So much so that I enjoy diving into my bed when I see it!  My foster Mummy leaves my carrying case open as well and I enjoy laying in it.  I am definitely more of a love dog than a toy dog.  I'd much rather be pet then play fetch with you.  I am very easy to get along with and I understand "NO", "SIT" and "STAY".  I am house-trained and I know the difference between inside and outside.  I do not chew furniture or jump on the couch.  When my foster family sits down and I try to jump up, they say, "No, Sit" and I very much understand.  The only thing you need to be worried about is when other dogs are around and I have food, a toy or a treat; I tend to get protective but this depends on the overall situation.  I am a sweet girl who loves attention so my furever family should consist of older family members that have a well balanced schedule so I can get the training, balance and love I deserve!  Oh yea and whoever cut my hair before I came into rescue, made my hair VERY short; to the point where I have some discomfort from razor burn.  I will be okay in due time and will look wonderful with my gorgeous full coat but it will take a few weeks to get there.  This shouldn't discourage you from putting in an adoption application for me.  My adoption fee is $350.  Please visit www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application.
