Update 4/2/13:  My foster Mommy says that I am a really smart dog.  Ms. Hope, from Little Paws of Hope, came to my foster Mommy's house the other day and worked with me.  My foster Mommy said I responded great to Ms. Hope's training methods!  I am great with commands such as "sit", "wait" and "down" but I need to work on my attention seeking.  I am used to being the center of attention and with some consistency, I should be able to learn to take a step back.  I also have anxiety issues that result in my fearful reactions.  Thankfully Ms. Hope gave my foster family some suggestions that they will start implementing a little at a time.  I need a furever family who is willing to be consistent in their training techniques.  With the right furever family, I can learn to be a well-balanced pup!  On the up side, I am great with using the wee wee pad and can be really sweet once I learn to trust you.  If you have experience with consistent training, then I am the boy for you!  Be sure to put in an adoption application for me at www.yorkie911rescue.com.

Woof Woof!  My name is Diego and I am a feisty little boy!  I was surrendered by my owners because they had a baby and I am overly protective.  Do you think you can handle me?  Since I have a tendency to become very protective of my guardian, whether it be you or someone else I learn to trust, it's important that my furever family know how to address this behavior with a quick and accurate correction.  Now, don't get me wrong, even though I display these protective behaviors, once I get to know you, I warm up rather quickly and can be such a sweetie!  It's a behavioral issue that can be fixed with consistency and patience!  I know a lot of commands and am eager to please (especially if a treat is involved... woof!) but need a furever family who will teach me boundaries and limitations.  It would also be best if my furever family knows how to keep me calm and relaxed.  My adoption fee is $375.  Please submit an application for me at www.yorkie911rescue.com.
