Update 6/7/16:  We are keeping Duffy on 10mg of Vetoryl - this is the lowest dose and he is doing so well.  You would never know that there was anything wrong.  Duffy is one of the most adorable little boys. We currently have Minnie Mouse on the same medication for the past 4 years!  As long as he is on this medication ($35/mo), he can live a normal, healthy life.  PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING THIS WONDERFUL DOG A LOVING HOME!  

5/12/16:  Duffy is doing amazing on his medication.  We will be running a test next week to make sure the dosage is correct or if we need to make any adjustments.  He is so playful, has so much energy and love to give.  Please give this boy a chance for a wonderful life.

Duffy is a sweet, calm mellow boy who everyone has fallen in love with.  He saw the vet this week and had some bloodwork that was worriesome.  Today he had an ultrasound which confirmed that he has Cushings Disease which means that his pituitary gland is not working correctly.  We will be starting Duffy on medication this week and will be testing to make sure we have him on the correct dose.  We have seen dogs live with Cushings for several years or as little as 6 months.  There is really no way of knowing.   Adoption fee:  WAIVED.
