I am hoping you could help be the miracle for my buddy Benji who needs to find his forever home. I took him as a foster, in a last chance effort before euthanasia, he's had a rough life so far. Adopted and returned to multiple rescues for multiple reasons, a definite history of abuse prior to rescue, he's developed fear & anxiety which has resulted in some "behaviors" towards men (he displays aggression to be males & has bitten a man in the past). The rescue I'm foster for has said he should be euthanized as they consider him a "bite risk". I refused to do it and have been working with him for 4 months now. He's made such great progress on very simple & inexpensive medication and has turned into a real snuggle bug!!! He's about 5 yrs old, 18lbs, hypoallergenic Silky terrier, Jack Russell mix. He's obviously more comfortable with women and prefers a quiet home without other animals or children, and a fenced yard for his protection (which is what I'm currently able to provide for him but sadly I'm moving soon & cannot continue to foster). He loves walks, belly rubs, laying in the sunshine and playing with his Toy's. He has some anxiety when left alone and around men but he's been working on this & showing really great improvement. Benji loves cuddles and kisses, he'll be an amazing companion to a female with some patience for his quirks. So far I've had nobody willing to adopt him due to his specific needs. I know (because I experience it) that in the right home & environment he'll be the best dog! I have tons more information on him, as well as pictures and video's, if you would like to know more.
