Update 6/7/11: Woofs & Kisses! I am such a sweet girl.  I get along great with everyone, love to play fetch and take baths. I'm getting better with the housebreaking too!  I can hold it in all night and for a few hours while my foster Mommy is at work.  I have been out and about enjoying life.  I recently went to the Memorial Day parade and to the Smithtown Festival Day.  These experiences were new to me but I am curious to try out new places and new things.  My foster Mommy wants to teach me how to swim this weekend and see if I like the pool.  I like water so I think the pool will be alright.  My hair is growing in nicely and my foster Mom says it is beautiful.  The foster family is enjoying me as much as I am enjoying them!

Update 4/27/11: I went to the dogter, was spayed & my mammary growth was removed.  The luxtating patella doesn't seem to present a problem either, as I am as fast as my fur-foster sibling when we run around together.  I'm also thrilled to inform you that I have slimmed down a bit. It's amazing what healthy food and a little exercise can do!  My foster Mom can now walk me with my harness because I am learning how to be calmer and not panic and bolt. I am making progress on house breaking.  My foster Mom says I am very sweet and loving!  I also love the company of humans but like a typical female Yorkie, I do just fine on my own.  I'm the best of both worlds!

Woof Woof!  My name is Porkchop.  The Rescue Squad could not believe how much of a heffalump I am considering that I came from a puppymill bust... what can I say?  I like to eat!  I'm new to rescue and have to visit the dogter to be spayed before I can be adopted but I would hurry up and get that application in because everyone I meet just loves me!  I'm not tooting my own horn- everyone keeps telling me that they're just crazy about me!   I have a sweet personality and am curious about my new surroundings.  I felt so crated and sheltered my entire life that now my nose is in overload!  I take treats right out of my foster Mom's hands and enjoy sitting on her lap.  I get along well with other balanced dogs and seem to be a happy little thing.  I had my doggie physical with my dogter & they report that I have a growth on my mammary gland that the Rescue Squad is going to check out further.  I also have a little problem with my knee popping out when I run but it doesn't seem to bother me.  My foster Mom promises to keep an eye on it but in the meantime I will keep learning about the world and working my puppy love magic!  I have a fan club within the Rescue Squad and with good reason- I am so easy to fall in love with!  My adoption fee is $350 and this includes my spay & medical vetting.
