Update 12/26/11: Woof.  I was an owner surrender.  I am blind and had a patella that was always out which caused difficulty walking.  I would barely put my foot down so I opted to sleep all day in my bed.  Even though I am blind, I am still a lady- I smell my way over to the wee wee pad and do my business on it.  I also know how to make it back to my bed.  I made a routine of this and kept my walking limited.  This worked out fine despite having the difficulty walking.  Many thanks to my amazing dogter, Dr. Harrison, for making a Howliday Miracle for me!  I had surgery to repair my patella and I am healing nicely!  Even though I am blind, I am curious of my new walking capabilities.  Every day I test myself a little bit more and walk a little bit further.  If my sense of smell holds true, today I walked all the way from the kitchen to the foyer.  I may be eight years old but now that my legs are starting to feel better, I am ready to catch up on lost time!!  If you would like to adopt me, please put in an application at www.yorkie911rescue.com.
