Update 3/7/12: Well, I am still going strong even with all of my health issues. I have gained quite a bit of weight so my foster mom thinks it's time for a new picture - she tries to watch what I eat but I sneak over to the bowl every chance I get. Must be one of those psychological issues from coming from a puppymill - always afraid that I will be hungry again. I love playing with my fur-siblings, especially Cleopatra - she pulls my ears and I push her over -- then we snuggle up together. If I do have to leave my foster home, I hope it will be to a home with another pup I can play with.
Update 1/17/12: Here it is a month after my last update and it seems that I may have some lingering medical issues. I overheard my foster mom and the vet talking yesterday - looks like I am what they call a "forever foster" and need a very special person to take care of me for whatever time I have. I am a very happy playful pup and love to snuggle up with my foster mom but she has a lot of other pups to take care of so I don't get a lot of alone time. I know she doesn't want to give me up especially since I love playing with my foster siblings but it would be nice to have all the attention. Please consider being my new foster mom.
Update 12/17/11: When I came into rescue my foster mom was so worried about me. The Dogtor took some xrays and saw my heart was enlarged, I had a few tumors and my teeth were gross. At first they decided not to do surgery - afraid it would be too much for me but then last week decided if I didn't have the surgery, I would never be adopted (which would be ok with my foster family LOL). Well, here it is - one week later and I am doing pretty well. Still moving slowly - had a hernia on top of everything else - but there is hope! Please make a donation in my name to help pay for the surgery expenses. Better yet - adopt me!
Hello there. My name is Remy and I am a Maltese that came from a backyard breeder. I thought I was going to make puppies my entire life but then things took a turn for the better! Now I am on to the next chapter in my life and am in the market for a family! My companion should be more on the mellow side, like me. I feel it is important to find a family that is compatible. Do you think you and I are a match? Please put in your application at: www.yorkie911rescue. I do hope to find a Home for the Howlidays this Season. Woof. |
