Grrr... my name is Sassafrass but my foster Mom calls me Sassy.  One day I woke up all alone in my apartment.  I thought the people who lived with me were going to return but I became hopeless after a few weeks.  Thankfully I was found but then I was brought to a doggie jail.  It was terrible!  There were a lot of big dogs barking at me and it scared me terribly!  The experience was so traumatizing.  Thank goodness the Rescue Squad got me out of there but when they saw me, I was covered in horrible matts.  They think I am shy but I am not so much shy as I am scared and in pain.  Thankfully, they removed all of my matts and cleaned me up- it took them almost 3 hours!  I am very thin and frail but I heard my foster Mom say she plans to fatten me up to the weight I should be.  I am so frightened right now but my foster Mom is working with me to help me come out of my shell.  So far so good!  I am starting to trust her and the rest of my foster family.  She is trying to get me used to other dogs because I threaten to bite but really I am all bark.  She says I am doing better but I think I have some way to go.  I warm up to people quickly once I realize they are not going to hurt me.  My foster Mom says I am really cute and sweet underneath all of my fear and crazy hair!  My adoption fee is $350 and you can put in an adoption application at: www.yorkie911rescue.com.
