Update 3/4/12: So it turns out I am a little misunderstood. I was neglected in my last home and my recent body language reflects the effects of my past. I am skeptical of men (and sometimes women) and will react to protect myself. Wouldn't you have issues with trust if you were a tiny girl like me left alone for long periods of time? I have learned to trust my foster family but I do not like crowds and I get very nervous when I leave my foster home. Sometimes when I react out of fear, I snap at people. I do not mean it and I swear I am working on my really bad behaviors but until then, I will need a furever family who knows how to train dogs like me and can work with my fear aggression. I am loving and sweet with my foster family so I know there is a family out there for me who will promise to love me no matter what. I need a family who will help continue my rehabilitation to teach me how to trust humans as my foster Mom is doing. She is taking me to busy places for short periods of time and is being patient with me so I can learn how to be comfortable in the world outside the sheltered life I had before. Please do not give up on me as my foster Mom will tell you I have a lot of love to give. I know there is a furever family out there for me that will also help me trust again.... if you have experience with pups like me, make sure to put in an application!
Woof Woof! My name is Jacee and I am part Yorkie and part Pomeranian. I came into rescue as an owner surrender although I am not quite sure why because I am a very sweet girl! I was infested with fleas and spent most of my days living outside. Whenever I was allowed to be inside, I was kept downstairs in the flea infested part of the house. I never ate dog food, only table scraps that were leftover. I had no idea that a little dog like me should not be outside all day or that I needed a better diet than that! The Rescue Squad were besides themselves when they learned all of this about me. I am so lucky that the Rescue Squad stepped up to the plate and helped to get me out of that situation and into a warm home! I am totally loving life now! I saw the dogter, was spayed and am ready for my new home! I get along great with other dogs and I grew up with a 2 year old boy. Ready to bring a cutie pie like me home furever?
