Update 4/6/12: I didn't know what love was until I felt the warm arms of the Rescue Squad.  Now I can't get enough of it!  I have only been in rescue for a little over a week and already I have been on the CBS Early Show and a few days later I was invited to be in a professional photo shoot in NYC for a June Adoption event!  Yup, I'm a little star!  I love to go on car rides and am quickly learning basic commands.  My foster Mommy is working on the come command with me and I am responsive so far.  I am coming out of my shell and starting to explore the world.  I get really excited when I see my foster family and wiggle my little nub super fast.  I follow my foster Mommy around everywhere she goes and am learning how to be a dog from my fur-siblings.  I started to explore toys recently and am proving to be a sweet and spunky little girl!  Even though I am not sure of my age, my foster family says they absolutely love me and whoever adopts me is going to be a very lucky family!  I am a beautiful little angel looking for lots of love and warm arms to snuggle in.... do you have arms to hold me furever?  Woof!

Update 3/28/12:  If you are wondering how old I am, you are not alone.  The Rescue Squad is not sure either so they are relying on the vet to help them figure it out.  It's hard to tell because my eyes are completely clear and my teeth are in pretty good shape for a puppymill dog.  I may be as young as 5 or as old as 9 - but whatever it is, I am so happy to be out of that horrible place and on my way to a loving, warm home of my own!

Before I came into Rescue, I lived in a horrible puppy mill where I was just a number.... but the Rescue Squad said that will no longer suffice and named me Hope!  I was supposed to live in the puppy mill for the rest of my life but I heard the bad people there say they were going to euthanize me so Best Friends saved my life at the last minute and they just knew Yorkie911 would help save me too!  So I hopped on a transport truck with 170+ other dogs and we started our trek across the country. We made a few pit-stops along the way but made it to the East Coast with impeccable timing.  The Rescue Squad took me in during their most recent "Pup My Ride", a transport program courtesy of the hard-working efforts of BFAS, that transports puppy mill dogs from the Midwest to the East Coast.  I was 1 of 14 small breeds in need of rescuing by Yorkie911.  I need to visit the dogter to get spayed and have a dental completed, then I will be ready for my furever home.  Visit www.yorkie911rescue to submit an adoption application.  My foster Mommy says I will find a furever home quickly because I am such a sweet little girl!  My adoption fee is $350.
