Woof Woof!  My name is Casey and I came into rescue because my owner thought it would be the best situation for me.  I once lived with my Mommy who was sent to live in a nursing home and since no one in her family stepped up to take of me, I was sent to a shelter.  Two lovely ladies spared me my life, took me home and told me I could live with them!  How lucky could I be?... or so I thought.  They both worked a lot of hours and I hardly saw them so they promised to find me a great home where I wouldn't be alone all day.  Their seach led me to finding a new older Mommy who had too many levels of stairs in her home and I had a real hard time getting around.  (I'm not a young gun anymore although I try to keep up.  It doesn't help that I am severly overweight & could lose a few pounds around the waist!)  So anyways, I really loved my new Mommy and would try to follow her everywhere she went, which made moving from one level to the other, very difficult for me.  See, the thing is, she can not carry me in her arms for fear of losing her balance and falling over with me and she was concerned that I would fall and hurt myself if left unattended.  So she brought me to a playdate where the Rescue Squad joined in on the fun and my first day in rescue was a pretty good one!  I met lots of new dogs and got along fine with all of them.  I think they were testing me but since I am such a good boy, I passed with flying colors!  Just ask the Rescue Squad how sweet I am!  I am a real loyal boy and attached myself right away to one Rescue Squad volunteer and I followed her around the backyard then quietly laid right next to her chair when she was sitting down.  I got lots of petting and enjoyed all of the attention I received!  I can certainly get used to this!  I am going to the dogter this week for a checkup and to get a dental completed since my teeth are awful.  I really can not wait until I have super clean teeth!  Please visit: www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application if you think you can provide me with a quiet, stable household where I will be able to live out the rest of my days enjoying daily walks, plenty of love and minimal use of stairs!  My adoption fee is $300.
