Update 5/21/12: Hi there!  My name is Eli and I have made tremendous progress since I have been in rescue!  I greet my foster family at the door and I love to follow my humans from room to room.  I am just like most Yorkies- we don't like to be left alone.  I enjoy going outside with my foster fur brothers and exploring the backyard.  My vision and hearing have improved (I had a really bad ear infection that the Rescue Squad has been helping me with so I am feeling better) and my foster family says I am just a great little guy!  Oh yea and I LOVE to be held and petted!  Please put in an application if you think we would make a great match!

My name is Elijah and I am new to rescue.  I am another case of an older pup who almost ended up in doggie jail but by the persistance of rescue, escaped doggie jail safely!  Lets be honest here, I'm what you call, a recovering wreck.  I had to be shaved down entirely because I was so matted.  My ears are so terribly infected so my foster family is helping me take medications to feel better.  Despite my tribulations, I am still a sweet boy looking for love.  I get along with other dogs and need a warm bed in a loving home to retire in.  Please visit: www.yorkie911rescue.com and fill out an adoption application if you can look beyond my troubled past and start a new future with me.
