Update 10/5/12: I am a very happy and smart dog. I made myself right at home in my foster home. I love to be around my humans and get along quite well with my foster fursibling and the cats too. I obey. I know what my humans are saying when they tell me to get off the couch or get down. I sleep through the night on my comfy dog bed in my cage without a peep. When I wake up in the morning, I actually wrestle the bed out of my cage so that I can put it where I want to rest during the day! I love the yard and going on long walks. I also do well with doing my business outside with very few accidents. My foster pawrents keep their attention on me and say it's easy to tell when I have to go outside. I do wear a belly band because I mark my territory. The belly band is great because my foster family can correct my behaviors while keeping me from making a mess! Please put in your application for a wonderful Yorkie boy like me. Update 9/20/12: My favorite place to sleep is on one of the kitchen chairs - they have nice thick cushions! I am getting along great with the other pups in my foster home. Today I went along on a home visit and had a great time getting all the attention - I showed off my playful side and made everyone laugh. I may be 9 in age but act like a 2 year old pup. Going for walks is another favorite - once the harness and leash come out, I am ready to go go go! Hoping to have a fur-ever home of my own real soon!
Woof Woof! My name is Popey and I am new to rescue. So far I am proving to be "all Yorkie". I am cute, small and have separation anxiety- traits fairly typical to the Yorkshire Terrier breed. When my foster Mom leaves the house, I bark out to her until I finally decide to give up. I'm a little stubborn so it could be a little while after she leaves. The Rescue Squad told me it would be best if I did not live in an apartment/condo type setting. Since I am so new to rescue, please give the Rescue Squad a few more days to get to know me better and they will update you on my most recent progress. If you think we could be a potential match, please fill out an adoption application at www.yorkie911rescue.com. My adoption fee is $325. my foster family can correct my behavior More about PopeyGood with Dogs
