Update 1/29/13: Since my surgery, I am already back to running around and bouncing on my hind legs at the baby gate in order to see what is going on! My house breaking is coming along and I seem to prefer to pee on the pads since it is so cold outside! I love to eat my food but am not so big on snacks. I love to snuggle close and give kisses. I sleep through the night but will no longer sleep in a crate now that my furry buddy Brie is in her furever home. I am healing well and doing great! Now I just need to find my furever family... My foster Mom says I am a little love and anyone who meets me will agree!
Update 1/25/13: I went back to the dogter because a few days after my hernia surgery, my foster Mommy found another lump on my stomach. Turns out the lump is a swollen mammary tumor! (I was told that this is typical of female dogs who are bred time and again!) So we scheduled an appointment and I went to the dogter today to have a masectomy to remove the lump along with several others that the dogter felt during my initial visit. I also have a double ear infection which my foster Mommy is treating with medicine at this time. Even with everything happening to me right now, I am such a wonderful little trooper and am being sweet as pie. I will need a some time to recover in foster care but am still available for adoption so please, if you have it in your heart to furever take in a beautiful girl like me, then visit www.yorkie911rescue.com. I will be cured and healthy again in no time! Woof! Update 1/20/13: My foster family tells me that I am such a sweet little girl. I love to be held and cuddled but I am not insistent or vocal about it. I sleep in my crate at night without a problem and in a dog bed during the day. Of course my preference would be to be on the couch, but again, if I am told 'no', I will not insist. I am very even tempered and laid back. If left behind a baby gate, I will vertically jump high enough to be head and shoulders above the gate, but I do not make it over. I am working on my house-breaking but have not yet mastered this skill. However, I will go to the potty outside when taken. All in all, I am adorable and love to give kisses! Please put in an adoption application for me at www.yorkie911rescue.com. Update 1/7/12: Well my surgery went really well - turns out I had a huge hernia (probably from a botched up C-Section). I am feeling sooo much better. If you are looking for lots of kisses, I am the girl for you! My foster mom has to carry a tissue to wipe her face from all my kisses :) Please submit an application for me asap. Hello there! My name is Rizzo and I am a sweet Yorkie girl. I just came into rescue from a backyard breeder that no longer needed me for breeding. A backyard breeder is pretty much a small scale puppy mill but we are all socialized a bit more and our overall condition is better. I have a couple of "lumps" that the dogtor has to take out when I get spayed so stay tuned for my update next week. Please visit www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application for me.
