Update: 6/19/13: If you have a couch to share with me, I promise to be your most loyal companion! All I wish for the rest of my life is to have someone to snuggle up with who will rub my belly. Update 6/2/13: I have been in foster care for a few weeks now and the Rescue Squad has learned that I am very unhappy living with multiple dogs. I am manageable but I will go after the other dogs. At first we thought it was because another foster fur-sibling who was not fixed joined my household but after moving me to another foster home, we learned that it wasn't the case. I will growl at the other dogs and become a little selfish by taking bones or toys away from the other pups who try to play with me. I also get jealous of other dogs- I don't like them sitting with MY humans and will bark like crazy to get them off MY person's lap! I want all the other dogs in the household to know that I am the King and no one can take my place! I hear that's a bit of a Yorkie attitude so please don't think I am a bad or mean dog. My foster Mom says I am a fabulous dog and I am just stressed with all of the changes in my life. We also feel that I am just much happier being the only spoiled pup in the house! I can and will socialize with other dogs outside the home, I just do not want them in MY house! Looking to spoil a loving Yorkie boy?! I'm your King! Put your adoption application in at www.yorkie911rescue.com. Update 5/13/13: I am a sweet, gentle boy but have no issues standing up for myself if need be. Although I am fine around male dogs, I am not okay with male dogs that are still intact. (This means males that are not neutered.) I like to cuddle on the couch and come when called. I also scratch to go outside and willingly sleep in my crate throughout the night. I do not beg at the table when my family is eating but don't tempt me by leaving food openingly and unattended! (Come on! What pup wouldn't utilize an opportunity like that? Woof!) Prior to my latest foster friends, I had not marked the house after I was neutered. Now, I feel the need to tell the other dogs in the house that I am the dominant male & have been caught marking. I love to be in the sun and would love to be in a furever home where I could be in an outdoor space to sleep in the sun. I love to run and am wonderful on the leash. My foster Mom says I am the easiest dog on a leash that they have ever had! All in all, I am the sweetest, easiest dog. I do whatever you need me to do without complaint. After 10 years of living at a home with my Spanish speaking family, they found that life's daily demands left them with little time to care for me. As a result, I have found my way into rescue. My foster family says that I am a lovable and kiss happy dog that is 10 years old, but really, I don't believe that! I enjoy running around the yard and exploring all of the new smells in my foster home. I am getting a feel for my new foster fur siblings and have been getting along well with them. My foster human siblings are enjoying my kisses! I may be a little sad now for what I left behind but all I need is a new furever family willing to shower me with the love that I deserve.
