Hello, my name is Bear. My foster mom calls me Hairy Beary OR Baby Bear. I’m approximately 11 years old. I am pure breed; I have a chip in my neck, but not one on my shoulders. I even have papers to prove it.   I’m a very sweet dog. Once I feel comfortable with you, I absolutely LOVE to lie on my back and have my belly rubbed.  I could stay there for hours.  I am outside potty trained.  If you ask me, I will do my circle dance to let you know.  

I am allowed full run of the house, but can be crated when I get sacred of the dark at night.  My foster parent had the nite-lite on for me but I now can sleep with it off.  I’m most comfortable sleeping on my doggy bed near my family bed. Sometimes I decide to jump on the bed at night because I want to sleep even closer to my foster mommy, but I can get startled, so she prefers for me to sleep on the floor. I don’t like loud noises so I get scared.

I also like to eat in the morning and at nite.  I also like doggy treats and I am not on any special diets. 

I like everyone in house, but I want to be an only child, so I don’t have to share the attention.   To me, if my foster mom is giving my fur siblings any much attention, I let her know it and the all three fur siblings all get scared.

I really enjoy going for a walks. I walk well with a leash and harness.  I might bark at other dogs to let them know I am the boss, but as long as I don’t get close to them I never really give anyone a hard time.  I actually listen really well if I hear foster mommy voice gets loud & wants me to stop, she tells me and I stop in my tracks. 

I love playing fetch - that is my favorite game.  I will go even under the bed to retrieve a toy.  I can spend a good half hour retrieving and usually wear out my foster mommy.  At times I even play by myself, if I am in the mood. 

I like to dance so if you start singing to me I get excited and will jump on my hind legs, you can even hold my front paws and we can dance together.

I don’t mind getting a bath, I might shake, but my mommy uses oatmeal shampoo so I don’t get all itchy.  I am not sure why I do this, but I will rub against the walls after a bath, so she puts my prince shirt on.  I don’t like taking a bath but I stand there and I also get my hair brushed and I stay there for cutting my hair.

I need help with finding a home that can love me.  You see my mommy had to go into an adult senior center. I don’t understand what that means, but I need a new mommy who can baby me.  Please submit an application for me!
