Update 2/29/15:  King has been adopted 3x and returned 3x - first came into rescue one year ago.   King takes phenobarbital and K-bro Vet (Potassium Bromide) twice a day so he won't have a seizure.  He is a big, goofy boy - not even 2 yrs old.  Suffered some brain damage from the infection passed on to him from his mother.  Loves toys, loves running in the yard.  Plays with beds like they are toys.  Is crate trained.  Uses pee pads and goes outside.  Does not really understand the leash - he likes to chew on them or walk other dogs that have a leash on.  Does not kiss but is affectionate.  Twitches constantly.  Loves other dogs.  Loves kids.  Needs a lot of room to run inside as well as outside.  Mark calls him the Forrest Gump of dogs.

Update 6/15/15:  King needs a home with a yard to run in and kids or other dogs to play with.  We tried him in a NYC apartment but it was not the best environment for him.  He will need a daily medication to control seizures (as long as he is taking it, seizure is very rare) but other than that he is just all puppy.  Please consider giving this adorable boy the home he deserves.

Update 3/12/15:  King saw the neurologist today and had some tests done.  We won't have the results for about a week but she feels that he may have had lack of oxygen to his brain at some point.  King will always be a "special needs" pup so only someone with a lot of time to spend with him or someone with experience will be considered to adopt him.

King came into rescue a very sick little puppy - unable to balance and see properly, having seizures and twitching.  He will be seeing a neurologist to determine a diagnosis and the best course of treatement.  King has been showing great improvement in just a week's time but we need to get to the root of the problem to make sure we are giving him the best medical attention and treatement.  Being that he may always be a "special needs" boy, he will only be adopted by someone with experience.  If interested, please contact us.
