Update 4/20/15: Playful, energetic, loving, goofy, snuggler Hello, my name is Charlie! I’m a happy, happy boy! When I was first rescued from the local Animal Shelter, I had some bones that needed repair. No one really knows what happened to me. You see, I’m a tiny fellow. While I was growing up anything could’ve happened. I could’ve been dropped, fallen down stairs or simply been playing too rough with some of my other dog friends. I know that Yorkie 911 Rescue took the necessary steps to repair my hip. I’m still learning how to walk on all 4 legs. Don’t let my injury fool you. My foster mom says, I’m like a gazelle when she lets me out in the yard. She has to watch me carefully in the yard. I like to eat things. Anything…leaves, dirt, grass, bugs. It’s all good to me. There’s so much to see in this world. Life gets better every day. The home I’m living in right now has both human and animal friends. There are 3 canine friends. I really like them. We get along just fine. There is a feline friend too. She’s afraid of me. I like to chase her. Thankfully, my foster mom is patient with both of us. She could’ve kicked me out, but she provides safe areas for the kitty so she feels protected. This way we can both live in a safe and loving environment. I can be a bit mouthy. Once I’m told to ‘kiss’ OR ‘no bite’ I immediately stop nibbling. I just need to be verbally corrected. I’m NOT aggressive, just very playful in a puppy sort of way. I’m learning how to ‘sit’ and ‘come’ on command too. Sometimes, I’m the first one to sit knowing that I will be rewarded in some way…either simple loving or a yummy treat. Currently, I eat 2 times (½ cup each feeding) per day. The rescue group is trying to put a bit of weight on me and help strengthen my muscles. It’s important to exercise, but not too aggressively. I’m still healing. I enjoy to chew on a bone, biscuits and carrots. For an extra special treat, my foster mom puts peanut butter in a ‘kong toy’. That keeps me busy for a long time. Toys are TERRIFIC!!! The more the better. I will squeak away from sunrise to sunset. I’m doing very well with my housetraining. I’m cratetrained. I don’t really like it though. I cry and try to get out. I much prefer to be in a more open space. I do use wee-wee pads. You just need to find a spot where I’m comfortable and I will use it. I will also do my business outside. I walk well on a leash. I will snuggle with you on the couch or in a dog bed. I really enjoy being close to my human companions when I’m sleeping. I’m so content and feel at great peace. Please consider adopting me. I promise to love you with my whole heart. Plus, I’m a really good kisser. Love and LOTS of wet kisses, Charlie ----------------------------------------------- He is just coming into rescue today so his bio/pics will be posted after we had had some time to evaluate him.
