Update:  Dec 2018:  Sadly, Candy (now being called Mimi) is being returned to rescue.  Unfortunately city living has proved to be too stressful for her The noises in the hall, the cars on walks, etc make her too excited and send her into a barking fit. But Mimi is enjoying doggy daycare and trips to dog park! She is also very good with kids when she's on the leash.  We are looking for a home with a fenced in yard as she will thrive in if she has more space and fewer stressors. She would probably be ok with kids (older kids) that understood how to be gentle with her, and gentle and friendly dogs and cats.  Please help us find her the quiet home she deserves.

Update:  Mar. 2017: Candy was adopted back in 2015 but now finds herself needing a new home again.  This girl DESERVES a good home with a loving family.  If you don't have the time to devote to her, then she is not the dog for you.  This time, we want to make sure that she has a FOREVER home.

Aug. 2015:  Candy is as sweet as her name.  This pup is like having a puppy as she has really had no training but she desperately wants to please and is learning quickly.  Her mom passed away and she went to live with a neighbor but they quickly realized that they didn't have the time to devote to her.  Candy is a real snuggler and wants to be as close to her human as possible.  She is learning to live with other pups but would prefer being the only one if possible.  Please submit an application quickly as the girls get adopted very quickly.
